About This Position

Onboarding Specialist

Job Summary: Provide administrative support for the recruitment team and oversee day-to-day duties to ensure an efficient and safe working environment. The HR Coordinator should also have excellent administrative and IT skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a seamless positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
  • Process all required new hire forms accurately for internal and external applicants to start
  • Schedule HR appointments, in conjunction with Occupational Health for new hires to provide onboarding documents
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal/external candidates, hiring managers, and leadership
  • Verify all credentials/licenses with candidates
  • Conduct background checks - SEL, SCR, CHRC and applicable checks as needed
  • Perform reference checks
  • Provide information to candidates about benefits (Union and Nonunion) PTO plans and retirement plans
  • Establish/build relationships with hiring managers/departments, colleges & universities to assist in recruiting for all facilities
  • Assist recruiters with prescreening candidates, setting up interviews and hiring events
  • Maintain accurate data in applicant tracking system (HealthCare Source)
  • Keep up to date on all Pre-Employment Guidelines adhering to State and Federal Regulations
  • Participates in and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

  • Experience in Human Resources, preferred

Education:

  • Associates Degree, required
  • Bachelors Degree, preferred

Licenses / Certifications: N/A

Other:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analyze, explain and present data and findings.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborating with team members from various healthcare departments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite; including Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
