Job Title: Career & Learning Center Manager

Department: Career Center Muskogee

Reports To: Work Ready Oklahoma (WRO) Program Director

Job Summary:

The Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Muskogee Career & Learning Center and advances the mission of Goodwill by enhancing client employability through onsite workforce training and career navigation services. Coordinates a comprehensive suite of services including career assessments, job readiness instruction, industry-recognized training opportunities, and individualized career coaching. Working closely with staff and community partners, the Manager ensures that participants receive high-quality guidance in resume development, job search strategies, credential attainment, and career pathway planning. The Manager develops and maintains referral partnerships with agencies that serve individuals seeking employment, including organizations that support individuals experiencing barriers to employment. The Manager builds and maintains a portfolio of corporate and employer partners to create employment opportunities for program participants. The Manager monitors program outcomes, tracks participant progress, and ensures services align with Goodwill’s workforce development goals.

Essential Functions:

· Provide oversight to Career & Learning Center, Career Navigator, and Administrative Support personnel.

· Responsible to develop, maintain, coordinate, and provide instruction for portfolio of best practices, industry recognized course materials.

· Lead department in providing one-on-one career counseling and career navigation services to clients.

· Provide personalized client guidance and support by creating individualized career development plans.

· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local employers, businesses, State agencies, and community partners to foster employment opportunities for program participants.

· Maintain participant enrollment data, resume, case notes, placement data, and other information in the Caseworthy Management Information System (MIS).

· Collect and analyze data related to job placements and career outcomes, employment trends, wage rates, and job placement success rates to assess the effectiveness of career center programs and services.

· Manage the center's budget, allocating resources efficiently, and implementing cost-effective strategies.

· In collaboration with the WRO Program Director and Marketing Department, develop marketing strategies and promotional materials to raise awareness about the Career & Learning Center's services and events among job seekers and employers.

· Collaborate with employers to organize job fairs, hiring and networking events, and employer panels to connect job seekers with employers.

· Ensure a comprehensive understanding of all services provided by Goodwill.

· Fully engage in the Opportunity Accelerator program in a collaborative effort to align practices with all Goodwill programs.


Other Job Functions:

· Demonstrate professionalism and good judgment and present a friendly cooperative attitude.

· Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Work in a multi-unit environment.

· Must adhere to all GWIT policies & procedures.

· Must be able to work occasionally after-hours to meet the needs of the business.

· Completes all GWIT training requirements and maintains certifications required by law.

· Must adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Counseling, Education, or related field.

· 2 + years’ experience in career navigation services, talent acquisition, marketing, career technology education, or related field.

· Strong communication skills including public speaking, adult education, networking, and relationship building required; problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Special Requirements:

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record (occasional local travel to retail or program sites).

· Successful completion of background check and drug screening.

· Ability to maintain Goodwill’s Drug-Free Workplace and safety-sensitive standards.

Physical Requirements:

· Typical office environment with frequent standing/walking during site visits; ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with assistance for heavier items.
