Job Description
Position Summary
The Associate GSRP Teacher at EC3 supports the Lead Teacher in delivering a high‑quality, developmentally appropriate preschool experience aligned with GSRP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing daily lesson plans using our approved GSRP curriculum HighScope.
- Facilitate age‑appropriate learning activities for groups and individual children.
- Engage physically with children to support developmental growth.
- Maintain developmental records and assist with child assessment documentation.
- Supervise children during classroom, outdoor play, meals, and field trips.
- Monitor health and safety and follow all licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with Lead Teacher, specialists, and EC3 staff to plan instruction and activities.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Communicate positively with families and participate in home visits when required.
- Support classroom organization, material prep, cleaning, and routines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or equivalent; or valid Preschool CDA. (We will accept applicants who are in the process of earning an associate of CDA with a compliance plan.)
- Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
- Successful background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preschool classroom experience, especially with GSRP.
- Experience working with at‑risk or diverse families.
