About the Role:
The Comfort Advisor (HVAC Sales) plays a critical role in connecting customers with tailored heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions that enhance their indoor comfort and energy efficiency. This position involves conducting thorough assessments of customers' homes or businesses to understand their specific HVAC needs and recommending appropriate products and services. The Comfort Advisor is responsible for guiding clients through the sales process, providing expert advice, and ensuring a seamless transition from consultation to installation. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction and company growth by fostering long-term relationships and trust. Ultimately, the Comfort Advisor serves as the knowledgeable face of the company, driving sales while promoting high-quality HVAC solutions that meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent Customer Service
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in HVAC or related construction industries.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse customers.
- Valid driver's license for travel to customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or certification in HVAC technology, sales, or a related field.
- Experience using ServiceTitan (CRM) software and sales tracking tools.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and financing options available to customers.
- Demonstrated ability to close sales and manage customer relationships successfully.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to HVAC installations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site evaluations of customers' HVAC systems and environments to identify needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Present and explain HVAC products, services, and financing options clearly and persuasively to potential customers.
- Develop customized proposals and estimates that align with customer requirements and budget considerations.
- Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-ups using CRM software.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings to provide up-to-date advice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets while adhering to company policies and ethical standards.

The Comfort Advisor utilizes strong communication skills daily to clearly explain complex HVAC concepts and product benefits to customers, ensuring they make informed decisions. Sales and negotiation skills are essential for presenting proposals, addressing objections, and closing deals effectively.
