Chief Dental Officer

The Chief Dental Officer (CDO) will be a member of the executive leadership team responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the dental practices to ensure a high standard of quality care delivery across Premier Community HealthCare. The CDO is responsible for leading an engaged dental team in operationalizing advanced clinical strategies with a continuous focus on outcomes, financial sustainability, safety, and quality improvement.

What You’ll Do

▶ Develop best-in-class treatment practices and innovative business strategies that are aligned with Premier’s mission and values
▶ Build trusting relationships and maintain continuity of care

▶ Provide general dentistry for pediatrics and adults
▶ Partner closely with medical and pediatrics teams to provide quality health care
▶ Promote dental education in prevention, health management, and self-advocacy
▶ Help improve care delivery through Quality Improvement initiatives
▶ Mentor others and contribute to a positive clinical culture
▶ Travel across Premier's sites to engage with providers and drive engagement amongst the team

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of dental medicine

Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred

Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Florida

Ten (15) years proven successful experience as a dental practitioner

Five (5) years’ experience as a senior/ director/ dental lead level leadership experience strongly preferred.

Experience with healthcare information systems, such as an electronic health record (EHR)

Experience in a multiple provider dental practice

Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges as required

Current BLS certification

Eligible to obtain and maintain a federal and state narcotic registration

Obtain and maintain Epic certification/ annual compliance training throughout employment.

  1. Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 30 lbs.-50 lbs. occasionally
  2. Ability to sit for long periods of time
  3. Ability to travel to all Premier sites along with traveling occasionally to other health centers or conferences as needed.
  4. Direct exposure to computer screen
  5. May be exposed to contagious/infectious diseases.

Background Screening Requirement:
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
