Position SummaryWe are seeking a General Dentist to join our growing Dental team. This role provides comprehensive dental care including diagnosis, preventive services, and restorative treatment in accordance with Florida statutes and TFHC policies and procedures.
The General Dentist works collaboratively with Dental Leadership, dental assistants, and clinical staff to support TFHC’s Dental Program and deliver high-quality, patient-centered oral healthcare to an underserved population.
Essential ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat dental and oral diseases
Provide preventive, restorative, and general dental services
Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
Participate in emergency call coverage as assigned
Support and assist with in-house dental training initiatives
Supervise and collaborate with dental assistants and assigned staff
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with patients and coworkers
Uphold all clinical quality, safety, and compliance standards
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Director or Dental Leadership
Graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry required
Active Florida Dental License in good standing required
Current DEA registration required
Current CPR certification required
Previous general dentistry experience preferred, but not required
Strong clinical judgment and oral operative skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to patient education and preventive care
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Team-oriented mindset with adaptability and professionalism
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
