Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Liaison, Clinician Onboarding supports clinician candidates through the onboarding process from interview completion through readiness to see patients. This role serves as the primary day-to-day contact for candidates, helping them navigate licensure, credentialing, and payer enrollment requirements across multiple states.

The Liaison is responsible for collecting and tracking required documentation, monitoring timelines, and coordinating closely with internal recruiting, credentialing, and revenue cycle teams to ensure clinicians are onboarded efficiently and have a positive experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Candidate Support & Communication
    • Act as the main point of contact for clinician candidates after interview and offer acceptance
    • Provide clear guidance to candidates on required steps, documentation, and timelines
    • Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure timely completion of licensure, credentialing, and enrollment tasks
    • Deliver a positive, organized, and professional onboarding experience

  1. Licensure, Credentialing & Enrollment Support
    • Assist clinicians with obtaining and maintaining state licensure across multiple states
    • Support DEA registration, board certification, NPI, CAQH, PECOS, and other identifiers
    • Collect, review, and organize documentation for credentialing and payer enrollment
    • Track payer enrollment status and follow up on outstanding items

  1. Multi-State Coordination
    • Support onboarding of clinicians practicing in multiple states
    • Track state-specific requirements and deadlines
    • Escalate state-specific issues or timeline risks as needed

  1. Timeline & Tracking
    • Maintain onboarding checklists and trackers for multiple clinicians
    • Monitor timelines and ensure parallel workstreams
    • Proactively follow up on outstanding tasks

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Coordinate with Recruiting, Clinical Operations, Credentialing, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle teams
    • Ensure accurate handoffs of clinician information
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and more than five years of relevant experience

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare. Prefer some experience with provider recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, payer enrollment and familiarity with CAQH


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective follow‑up, task management, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear, professional, and candidate‑focused communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply state‑specific licensure and credentialing requirements
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach
  • Working knowledge of provider licensure, credentialing processes, and payer enrollment
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Familiarity with CAQH, NPI, and related credentialing systems
