JOB TITLE: Development Manager

DEPARTMENT: Development

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

FSLA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

Salary: $72,000

JOB PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Director of Development, Development Manager will manage the branded content and messaging via on and offline channels. The Manager will organize marketing and fundraising campaigns, events, and related activities for The Arc of Southern Maryland.

This is a hybrid role, with both in-office responsibilities and ability to work from remote location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all social media accounts. This includes scheduling and posting original, relevant content and sharing content from our State and National Chapters, creating engagement and analyzing results.
  • Responsible for integrating campaigns, event registrations and donor forms from our CRM, Donor Perfect into our website or other digital marketing.
  • Create, deliver, edit and optimize marketing collateral. Including email marketing, brochures, direct mail, flyers, online content and digital campaigns.
  • Manage social media intern and podcast producer. Assist with researching and scheduling podcast guests. Track podcast performance across multiple platforms and work with team to optimize performance.
  • Maintain an organized system for all agency marketing assets to include photos, email campaigns, templates, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for press recognition, create and deliver press releases, develop relationships with press contacts and maximize these opportunities for the Arc. Track and maintain all published press.
  • Responsible for making changes and updates to The Arc Southern MD website through our external marketing firm.
  • Integrating campaigns, registration forms, research, identifying and resolving any site issues in a timely fashion.
  • Create and manage video content.
  • Assist in data collection and formatting with the The Arc Southern MD Annual Report.
  • Assist Major Gifts Officer with fundraising campaign set up as needed.
  • Collect and report on quarterly department stats
  • Oversight of our signature annual fundraising event.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related degree preferred with 4+ years of related experience.
  • Experience working with Social Media platforms, especially Meta, Instagram and LinkedIn.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of CRM’s, Donor Perfect is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience with Non-Profit, I/DD community preferred.
  • Working knowledge of office applications, e.g., MS Office Suite, Adobe and others.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing tools, such as Canva, Constant Contact, Adobe design, Social media platforms and HootSuite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with personal and sensitive information.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
