Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support quality assurance and quality control activities at an onsite government installation in San Antonio, Texas. This role is responsible for inspecting work, verifying compliance with established standards and specifications, documenting deficiencies, and supporting corrective actions to ensure quality requirements are consistently met across assigned facilities, maintenance, or service-related activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience supporting quality programs, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated military installation environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections of assigned work areas, completed work, materials, and services to ensure compliance with contract requirements, technical standards, and site procedures.
- Review work activities for conformance to applicable quality, safety, and operational requirements.
- Identify deficiencies, nonconforming conditions, or workmanship issues and document findings clearly and accurately.
- Prepare inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and supporting documentation in accordance with contract and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance personnel, operations staff, and government representatives regarding inspection findings and required corrective actions.
- Verify completion of corrective actions and perform follow-up inspections, as assigned.
- Support implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures, process checks, and documentation controls.
- Monitor compliance with established procedures, workmanship standards, and applicable site requirements.
- Maintain organized records of inspections, findings, trends, and quality-related activities.
- Follow all installation safety, environmental, and access requirements while working in a secure facility environment.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspection, compliance, or a related field.
- Applicable certifications and/or licenses in the respective field or line of work required, as applicable to the contract scope.
- Experience conducting inspections, documenting deficiencies, and supporting corrective action processes.
- Ability to interpret standards, procedures, checklists, and technical requirements relevant to assigned work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
- Ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in San Antonio, Texas.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required installation/base access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting quality control activities in government, military, industrial, facilities, maintenance, or secure environments.
- Familiarity with inspection procedures, documentation controls, and corrective action tracking.
- Knowledge of quality management principles and compliance-based work environments.
- Experience working with contract deliverables, inspection checklists, and customer reporting requirements.
- Secret clearance or prior eligibility for access to military installations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple inspection priorities and deadlines.
