Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary (through September 29, 2026)
Salary: $44,000 annually (paid bi-weekly; prorated for duration of assignment)

Help Connect Ukrainian Families to the Support They Need

Our Refugee Services team is seeking a dedicated Outreach Coordinator to lead community outreach efforts for the PC-GAPS Program, supporting Ukrainian individuals and families as they connect with critical services and resources.

In this role, you will serve as a bridge between the community and available services, ensuring Ukrainian newcomers know about the support available to them and feel welcomed accessing it. You’ll build partnerships with community organizations, conduct outreach events, and help connect individuals with case management and other resources that support stability and long-term success.

This position is funded through a time-limited grant and is expected to conclude on September 29, 2026.

What You’ll Do

As the Outreach Coordinator, you will:

  • Develop and implement community outreach strategies to connect Ukrainian individuals and families with services through the GAPS program.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including nonprofits, service providers, and faith-based organizations such as churches, mosques, and synagogues.
  • Conduct community presentations, information sessions, and outreach events to raise awareness about available services.
  • Help potential clients understand program services and eligibility requirements.
  • Support client intake and referrals, ensuring individuals are connected with appropriate case management and resources.
  • Work closely with the Refugee Services team to coordinate outreach and ensure clients receive comprehensive support.
  • Provide language support and interpretation when appropriate for Ukrainian-speaking clients.
  • Maintain accurate outreach records, including tracking events, community contacts, and referral sources.
  • Assist with the distribution of outreach materials and informational resources to community partners.
  • Participate in weekly supervision meetings and bi-weekly Refugee Services team meetings.
  • Travel throughout the service region to support community outreach and program coordination.
What We’re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Social Work, Communications, International Studies, Public Health, Community Development, or a related discipline
  • Two (2) years of experience in community outreach, engagement, or client-facing work
    OR one (1) year of experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations
  • Fluency in Ukrainian (required); Russian fluency preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse communities and community partners
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client tracking systems
Work Environment

This position includes both office-based and community-based work and requires travel throughout the service area, including Stamford, Norwalk, New Haven, Hartford, and New Britain.

Team members may work with individuals and families who have experienced displacement, trauma, or major life transitions. Staff approach this work with cultural humility, professionalism, and trauma-informed care.
