Commissary Kitchen Driver ( Part-time!) in Vancouver, British Columbia at Kids & Company Ltd

Reporting to the Head chef acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the flow of day-to-day kitchen operations through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.

The Role

We want to work with people who are committed to going above and beyond in customer service. Those with a friendly, outgoing personality that is appropriate for a child care center environment, as well as those with experience with children, will be given special consideration.

You will need to have a tidy appearance and respectful manners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliveries

Load vans according to delivery manifests; assist fellow drivers in the loading processFollow the route and schedule as stated to ensure on-time deliveries

Vehicle Maintenance and Cleaning

Maintaining clean vehicle and cargo spaces dailyFleet preparation work as assignedReporting issues or the appearance of warning lights immediatelyEvery day, inspect functional lights and signals, as well as wear and tear

Delivery Equipment Returns

Clean delivery bags and Cambro equipment thoroughlyStoring/organizing delivery equipment so that it is ready for use the next day

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Working hours: Monday to Friday ( 7:30 am to 1:30 pm)Minimum 26 years of age (for insurance purposes)3+ years of driving or work-related experience is preferred Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordSuccessful candidates will be required to submit their information for a background check.Excellent physical condition: able to lift heavy loads (50+ lbs)Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a daycare setting would be an asset. Able to calmly assess problems and determine sensible solutions
