Key Responsibilities Include
- Design and teach a cohesive visual arts curriculum across TK–8, aligned with developmental needs and school-wide learning goals
- Build studio units that balance technical skill, creative exploration, and student voice
- Use provocations, inquiry, and studio thinking routines to invite sustained engagement
- Guide students in setting creative goals, giving and receiving feedback, and reflecting on their process
- Document and celebrate student learning through exhibitions and displays
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional learning, and school initiatives
- Attend and support school events such as Open House and Back-to-School Night
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Prior experience teaching visual arts in a K–8 or similar setting
- Strong studio skills across multiple media and age groups
- A genuine passion for working with children across a wide range of developmental stages
Compensation
$70,000–$80,000 annually, dependent on experience
