Description:

Senior Events Specialist

Create Experiences That Connect and Inspire

Company Overview

At Stampin’ Up!, we believe creativity connects people, and when you pair that creativity with thoughtful strategy, amazing things happen. For over 35 years, we’ve inspired a global community through paper crafting, connection, and unforgettable experiences. Our events don’t just inform, they energize, unite, and celebrate creativity around the world.

We’re a values-driven company, guided by four core principles: we care about people first, we act with courage, we better our best, and we own it. That means collaboration matters, ideas are welcomed, and accountability is shared. We’re playful but professional, creative but data-driven, and always evolving.

If you thrive in an environment where creativity meets business realities, where change is constant (and exciting), and where you can make a real impact on how people experience our brand, this might be your place.

Role Overview

The Senior Events Specialist leads the strategy, planning, and execution of Stampin’ Up!’s largest and most impactful live and virtual events. This role blends big-picture creative thinking with strong operational execution, balancing inspiring attendee experiences with budgets, timelines, and business objectives.

You’ll collaborate extensively across teams, mentor fellow event professionals, and serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders and vendors. You’ll also navigate ongoing change, elevate event standards, and use data and feedback to continuously improve how we show up on stage, on screen, and behind the scenes.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes ownership, communicates exceptionally well, solves problems with flexibility, and pays attention to the details that truly make an event shine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exemplify Stampin’ Up!’s core values by leading with care, courage, accountability, and a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale live and virtual events that elevate the attendee experience
  • Balance creativity with business constraints, ensuring events meet quality standards while adhering to budgets and timelines
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal partners and clear communication with the field to ensure alignment and clarity
  • Mentor and guide event team members, sharing best practices and strengthening team capabilities
  • Lead contract negotiations for global events, securing vendors and partners that align with event goals and budget expectations
  • Oversee on-site execution, managing employees, contractors, and vendors from set-up through tear-down
  • Evaluate event performance using data and feedback, identify opportunities for innovation, and present insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and evolving event strategies, bringing solutions, not just problems, to the table

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–8+ years of experience planning large-scale events, conferences, or conventions (live, virtual, or hybrid)
  • Proven success coordinating complex events with diverse, cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; clear, confident, and relationship-focused
  • Strong negotiation and vendor-management experience, including contract development
  • Data-driven mindset with strong operational skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptable problem solver with an ownership mindset and high initiative
  • Experience with Cvent and online/virtual event platforms
  • Ability to travel up to 50 days per year
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods during event execution

Here Are a Few of the Other Perks We Offer

  • A wicked-awesome benefits package (go ahead and compare)
  • A Friday dress code every day of the week (dust off those jeans)
  • Extreme crafting experiences (totally optional—but surprisingly fun)
  • Paid personal time off…like, a lot of it (hello, work/life balance)
  • Tuition assistance and 401(k) programs (company match, baby!)

Call to Action

If you’re energized by creating meaningful, well-executed experiences, and you love bringing creativity and strategy together, we’d love to meet you. Apply today and help us create events that connect people, celebrate creativity, and make lasting impressions across our global community.

Let’s build something beautiful together.
