Reid Petroleum | Crosby’s Convenience Stores
Reid Petroleum is seeking a Category Manager to support our Crosby’s retail locations. This role is responsible for driving sales, margin performance, and product strategy across assigned categories. The Category Manager develops pricing, promotional, and merchandising strategies while ensuring our stores offer the right product mix to meet customer demand.
This position partners with vendors and internal teams to analyze category performance, manage product assortments, and support merchandising execution across Crosby’s locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies to achieve sales and margin goals
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor pricing
- Manage product assortment, SKU productivity, and inventory turnover
- Maintain advertising plans, merchandising strategies, and planograms
- Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and promotional support
- Manage vendor rebates, accruals, and promotional funds
- Support store openings, remodels, and merchandising initiatives
- Visit Crosby’s retail locations regularly to support execution and gather feedback
- Develop annual sales and gross profit budgets for assigned categories

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in category management, merchandising, buying, or retail operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Valid NYS driver’s license required
