Air Flow Research (AFR) — Customer Service Representative
Location: 28611 Industry Dr, Valencia, CA 93551
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional overtime during peak production seasons)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) + Benefits
Position Summary
Air Flow Research (AFR), a leader in high-performance cylinder head and induction component manufacturing, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Sales & Customer Support team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate order processing, providing timely and professional customer communications, and supporting internal teams in delivering world-class service to racers, engine builders, and performance enthusiasts worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Order Processing
- Accurately enter orders, quotes, and returns into AFR’s ERP/CRM system (Syspro).
- Validate order details, pricing, and part numbers against catalogs and inventory.
- Maintain current and accurate customer account records.
- Process credit card transactions, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Monitor back orders and communicate lead times to customers.
Customer Service
- Serve as the first point of contact for phone, email, and live chat inquiries.
- Respond promptly to product, order status, and technical questions (with technical team support as needed).
- Resolve order discrepancies, shipping concerns, and returns in line with company policies.
- Assist customers in product selection and application guidance when appropriate.
- Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Administrative & Sales Support
- Provide data entry support to the Sales team.
- Assist in creating customer account reports and sales summaries.
- Coordinate with Shipping and Production to meet delivery timelines.
- Maintain organized and accessible files, records, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 1+ year of customer service or data entry experience (automotive aftermarket preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to learn ERP/CRM software (Syspro) quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive performance aftermarket industry.
- Familiarity with engine components and related terminology.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems.
