Registered Nurse - ICU in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specializes in Medical-Surgical and Neuroscience critical care. The ICU nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in critical situations, as well as collaborating with healthcare teams, administering treatments, and staying up-to-date on evidence-based practice.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree program
  • A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree
  • Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area

Critical Care Nursing

• ACLS required within 1 year
