Assumes responsibility for the performance of routine, standardized biological and/or biochemical tests, as well as more complex procedures on blood, urine, tissues, body fluids and other specimens that assist physicians in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients,

Assumes responsibility for recognizing results or problems that require referral to Manager, Pathologist or Administrative Coordinator,

Performs additional tasks as requested by Chairman of Pathology or his,

Her designee,

EDUCATION,

Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology preferred,

REQUIREMENTS

Three years of minimum clinical laboratory experience performing moderate to high complexity testing with successful competency assessment

Registry with a recognized board of registry for medical technology, such as American Society of Clinical Pathologists, preferred,

Successful completion of all Orientation Programs,
