Line Cook - Dock 17 at Project 2231 – Clarksville, Tennessee

Dock 17 and The City Forum, a vibrant restaurant in the heart of Clarksville, TN, is renowned for its fresh, inventive dishes and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Line Cook to bolster our kitchen brigade. This role presents an excellent opportunity within our culinary team. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Execute dishes per the head chef’s requirements and the restaurant's standards.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Ensure the preparation of dishes is timely and of the highest quality.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, ensuring clean equipment, and removing trash.
• Assist in food and supply inventory management, ensuring everything is properly stocked and stored.
• Adhere to kitchen safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Support the kitchen team in daily tasks, contributing to menu development and execution.
• Engage in ongoing training and workshops to refine skills and techniques.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience as a line cook or related kitchen experience is required.
• A fervent interest in culinary arts and ambition to advance in the food service industry.
• Capacity to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented with outstanding communication abilities.
• Proficiency in English.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak hours.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
