FT Instructor - Nurse Aide at Tri-County Community College (NC) – Marble, North Carolina

The basic purpose of this position is to instruct Nurse Aide I and II, and Medication Aide classes, and to maintain the clinical lab to the standards of the Department of Facility Service and the Board of Nursing. This position operates under the supervision of the Coordinator of Health Occupations and works in conjunction with other College faculty and staff.

• Current Unrestricted NC Registered Nurse License.
• Minimum of two-years’ experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Experience teaching adults or supervision of Nurse Aides required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.

• Provide instruction for Nurse Aide I and II, Geriatric Aide, Personal Home Care Aide, Medication Aide, and Home Health Aide classes.
• Plan, organize and develop each course taught, in accordance with acceptable academic standards.
• Adhere to standards of the Department of Facility Services and Board of Nursing for clinical and lab.
• Maintain accurate student records and files, in accordance to state regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Health Occupations, or other college leadership.

This is a full-time 12-month position and may require some flexibility in working hours.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Work is performed in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Requires standing for extended periods, moving/lifting instructional equipment, and assisting students with patient care simulations.
• Potential exposure to healthcare-related hazards such as chemicals, pathogens, and bodily fluids.
• Must use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures.
