Paramedic ED at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Our fast paced, high acuity Emergency Department is excited to welcome experienced paramedics to our health care team. We are seeking the candidate with strong clinical skills, independent decision-making ability, flexibility and can work as a true nursing partner expediting compassionate and competent care to our patients. You will document on an electronic medical record designed exclusively for Emergency Departments, and work alongside an invaluable ancillary staff all while being supported by our board certified Physician staff. A minimum of three years emergency medical experience is a mandatory requirement. BLS, ACLS and PALS are required. Orientation is provided and is dependent on your experience and level of comfort. The chosen paramedic will adhere to the job responsibilities outlined in the Emergency Department policies and procedures, National registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the Louisiana Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. The paramedic will report directly to the Emergency Department Nurse Manager. The positions we are seeking to fill are per diem positions that will vary with the needs of the department.
