Carepoint is a forward-thinking Field Marketing Organization (FMO) operating in the Medicare and ACA space. With over 3,000 agents and a rapidly growing footprint across the country, we provide the technology, tools, and support that independent agents and agencies need to serve their communities and grow their business. Our internal tech stack powers commission management, agent hierarchy logic, policy tracking, and more—making us not just a partner, but a platform.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable internal systems and integrations that support our growth trajectory. This role will drive technical strategy, guide junior developers, and design robust solutions across our Salesforce environment, custom commission platforms, and data infrastructure. You’ll be central to shaping how we use technology to solve complex, real-world business problems in the healthcare insurance space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop full-stack software solutions across Carepoint’s internal platforms

  • Lead and mentor junior developers and collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams

  • Front-End Development: Build high-performance React applications using Vite, TailwindCSS, Radix UI, TanStack React Query & React Table, Framer Motion, and state management with MobX

  • Back-End Development: Extend and customize our Laravel-based services and APIs; integrate external systems with secure, performant endpoints

  • Salesforce Engineering: Customize Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components, custom objects, and integration

  • Build automation scripts and data processing tools using Python

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting, reconciliation, and data pipelines

  • Integrate APIs and third-party services (e.g., commission tools, carrier systems, CRM platforms) into Carepoint’s ecosystem

  • Own the release process, code reviews, and GitHub-based version control

  • Translate high-level business needs into scalable software solutions and technical specifications

  • Partner with leadership to guide the overall architecture and technology roadmap

  • Ensure best practices in software engineering, security, and system performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role

  • Front-End: Deep experience with React (18+ / 19), Vite, TailwindCSS, Radix UI, and modern UI frameworks

  • Back-End: Strong experience with Laravel or Node.js-based APIs

  • Strong Salesforce development background (Apex, LWC, integrations)

  • Solid understanding of database design, normalization, and data architecture

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)

  • Expertise in GitHub-based workflows and version control

  • Expertise in GitHub-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices

  • Familiarity with state management (MobX), data fetching (TanStack React Query), and component-driven design systems
  • Experience working with data from healthcare, insurance, or finance environments is a plus

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex requirements into actionable code

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills—able to work with both technical and business stakeholders

  • Bonus: Experience with Snowflake, UiPath, Power BI, or Microsoft Access

Why Carepoint?
At Carepoint, we believe software engineers should be empowered to lead change. Here, your code won’t get lost in a backlog—it will help power thousands of agents, improve member outcomes, and shape the future of healthcare distribution. You’ll work with a lean, mission-driven team, enjoy autonomy, and see the immediate impact of your work.
