Job Overview:

Prepares and educates patients on telemetry transmitter, telemetry monitoring and electrocardiograms. Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provides age specific treatment and care. Assists new employees in the policy and procedures of the department. Supports the philosophy, objectives, mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Telemetry and/or successful completion of a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Course.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Nights
• FT

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform EKG’s.
• Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, positive attitude, the ability to plan, organize, multi-task.
• Assist in training and orientation of new staff members.
• Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures.
