Medical Receptionist
Full-Time | $18-$20/hour | Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM & Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Position Summary
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to support the daily administrative operations of our practice and provide an exceptional patient experience. This role handles patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, phones, EMR documentation, records, and general front-office support while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Check patients in and out, register patients, and collect co-pays and deposits.
  • Prepare and process new patient paperwork, insurance information, forms, and consents.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments, manage waitlists, and proactively offer earlier appointments when openings become available.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments at checkout and document reasons when follow-up cannot be scheduled.
  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally and interact courteously with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Create, update, pull, and maintain accurate electronic patient records and documentation.
  • Obtain and document patient information, medical histories, vitals, and test results as needed.
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain an organized, clean facility with adequate supplies.
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, clinical guidelines, and facility policies; complete required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience
  • At least 1 year of hands-on EMR experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, office ethics, recordkeeping, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software
Preferred
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare facility
  • Experience in a medical reception/front-office role
