Our core expertise includes small to large metal stampings and complex welded assemblies including Class A appearance trim, structural, exterior, interior, exhaust, N.V.H., ride control, seating, steering column, brake, chassis, and safety related components.

Requirements:
  • Works independently, dependable, and able to work to production rates and deadlines.
  • Experience reading micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Comfortable forming a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience setting up and running press brake equipment (Amada preferred).

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate the press brake to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of work, including prototype jobs and new and existing production parts.
  • Select the proper punch and die tooling and calculate bend allowances for various material types and thicknesses.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings. Measure product dimensions to verify accuracy of machine operation and perform quality inspection of finished product as required by the work order.
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and last piece inspection per print and maintain quality assurance records.
  • Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices; operate all machinery according to current safety rules.
  • Work with minimum supervision and troubleshoot set-up and run issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; keep machine and tooling in good working order and return all tools and accessories to their proper locations after each run.
  • Stay on task within defined work hours to achieve production efficiency and quality goals, and adapt to changing priorities in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with the supervisor and engineering regarding discrepancies between planned target times and actual set-up and/or run times.
  • Process required paperwork according to Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Understand the PLEX system: control panel of loading, recording production, scrap, and unloading containers.
  • All positions are cross functional; may assist in other manufacturing areas that management deems necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
