Acts as a resource person for other phlebotomists. Performs special assignments and projects involved in maintaining and improving lab operations and departments outside the lab. Performs blood collection by venipuncture and skin puncture. Assists in pre-analytical phase of testing—accessioning, processing, distributing specimens to workstation. Assists in post-analytical phase of testing—report distribution—hand carried, faxed, LIS generated to printer. Interacts well with all patients, co-workers and physicians. Is involved with QA/productivity tasks with or without the Lab Information System.
Requirements include: current phlebotomy certification from the State of California, High school graduation and 3-5 years of robust experience in an acute care setting. Must maintain current AHA sponsored CPR certification
Pay: $24.00-$26.00/hr
