This role sits at the intersection of operational leadership, client service excellence, and team development within a high-performance insurance back-office environment. The Select Senior Manager oversees multiple Manager-level teams, ensuring consistent delivery of service quality, compliance, and performance KPIs across client accounts. You will play a critical role in maintaining strong client relationships, optimizing operational workflows, and driving accountability across distributed teams. The position requires a strong leadership mindset with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop managers while ensuring adherence to strict servicing standards. You will also contribute to strategic planning through audits, business reviews, and leadership meetings. This is a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment where precision, communication, and decision-making are essential.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Managers, ensuring consistent performance, engagement, and adherence to service standards across all client accounts.
- Oversee operational quality through regular audits, KPI tracking, and compliance reviews, escalating issues when performance gaps are identified.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and participate in leadership meetings to report on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Manage workforce planning activities including hiring collaboration, PTO oversight, and resource allocation to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Act as a key escalation point for client issues, operational challenges, and team performance concerns while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, internal policies, audit requirements, and servicing standards across all teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation of new operational processes and organizational changes.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial insurance experience.
- Proven experience in people management, ideally leading managers or multi-level teams in a service-oriented environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills with a mentoring-first approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Experience working in KPI-driven environments with a strong focus on compliance and operational excellence.
- Ability to work remotely with reliable high-speed internet and participate in daily video meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to act with initiative, sound judgment, and minimal supervision.
