CDL Class A-HazMat (Local, No Overnight) in St. Petersburg, Florida at Fiberglass Coatings LLC

Fiberglass Coatings, a leading distributor of composite materials, is looking for a Class A Driver with a HazMat endorsement to join our team! Local deliveries, home every night.

You will be responsible for safely operating a truck to make deliveries to commercial customers throughout Florida.

Responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries as scheduled for assigned area in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck.
• Inspect truck before and after trip.
• Properly track and document activity log.
• Maintains and ensures truck is clean and maintained.
• Immediately report issues or incidents.
• Abide by local and state laws.
• Adhere to safety rules, traffic laws and all company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Clean Class A Drivers’ License.
• Hazmat Endorsement required.
• Minimum one year of driving experience.
• Previous experience with transporting hazardous materials (preferred).
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for 8 hours and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 – 75 pounds.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug test.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated and detail oriented.
