This role sits within a fast-growing, science-driven organization operating at the intersection of health, research, and consumer products. You will own core accounting operations end-to-end, ensuring financial accuracy, process integrity, and timely reporting across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. Working in a remote-first and highly collaborative environment, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to support month-end close, financial visibility, and operational decision-making. The role blends hands-on accounting execution with opportunities to improve systems, streamline workflows, and leverage modern tools including NetSuite and automation technologies. - Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including transaction entry, reconciliations, and communications with vendors and customers.
- Maintain accurate daily bank reconciliations and ensure financial data consistency across internal systems and NetSuite.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, support reporting needs, and contribute to business insights.
- Assist in maintaining, improving, and administering accounting systems and tools, including automation and process optimization initiatives.
- Identify and flag inefficiencies in accounting workflows while proactively contributing ideas for improvement and scalability.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and financial governance standards.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience with a strong understanding and application of GAAP principles.
- Experience managing AP/AR processes and supporting general ledger activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced functions such as formulas, pivot tables, and automation tools.
- Strong familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Ramp, Bill.com, or similar platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset toward process improvement.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
