Job Description:

Vitalis is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations. The Warehouse Associate will also provide support to various positions in manufacturing, assembly, receiving, and other duties required. We are looking for a positive team player who is willing to be flexible with their day-to-day duties on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

● Receive and process incoming stock and materials.

● Organizing and picking manufacturing orders & quality control documentation support

● Picking, kitting, and issuing parts for Manufacturing, Sales, and Service.

● Maintain physical inventory in an organized and efficient manner.

● Pick and fill orders from stock; pack and ship orders accurately.

● Assist in planning and implementing shop improvement projects as a part of LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives.

● Participate in and lead physical inventory counts.

● Inspect products for defects and damages.

● Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.

● Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high.

● Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimized space utilization.

● Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.

● Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

● Assist in Quality Control reports and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

● High school diploma or equivalent.

● Proven working experience as a warehouse worker or in a similar role.

● Become familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods.

● Good organizational and time management skills.

● Forklift certification (a plus, or willingness to be trained).

● Related training such as First Aid Level 1 would be an asset.

● Safety-conscious must adhere to Vitalis safety policy & procedure.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and be computer literate.

● Must have experience with an ERP and/or an inventory management system (Odoo-specific experience an asset).

● Time management and problem-solving skills.

● Experience reading shop/production drawings would be an asset.

● Must be able to use basic shop hand tools.

● Must be a Canadian citizen or have a work visa for Canada.

Physical Requirements:

● Must be able to lift and move 40 lbs./18 kg

● Standing, walking, lifting, and carrying for extended periods.

● Operate warehouse equipment safely.
