A Secure Future Academy is looking to hire full- and part-time Lead Teachers Childcare.
What are the hours like?
- Monday through Friday, either:
- 7:30am - 3:30pm
- 8:00am - 4:00pm, or
- 10:00am - 6:00pm

What are the duties and responsibilities?
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum and early learning standards.
- Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports children's learning, growth, and safety.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and communicate outcomes with families.
- Conduct developmental screenings, parent conferences, and maintain accurate child records and portfolios.
- Provide active supervision and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Coach, mentor, and support Assistant Teachers through modeling, feedback, and professional development.
- Build positive relationships with families through regular communication, classroom updates, and family engagement activities.
- Collaborate with staff to support children's educational, social, emotional, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain compliance with program standards, licensing regulations, training requirements, and organizational policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
What are the required qualifications?
- Minimum: CDA credential + 3 years of experience AND actively enrolled in an AA/BA program in ECE (for non-Head Start, non-PHLPreK classrooms).
- AA in ECE or related field + 2 years experience; willing to enroll in BA program within 1 year of hire.
- BA in ECE or related field + 1 year of experience.
- All Head Start Lead Teachers: BA in ECE required. All PHLPreK Lead Teachers: AA in ECE minimum.
- Strong knowledge of Creative Curriculum, PA Early Learning Standards, DHS regulations, Keystone STARS 3/4, and ITERS/ECERS.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and collaborate with a teaching team.
- Active PD Registry profile. Current clearances, health appraisal (every 2 years), CPR/First Aid (every 2 years), and Mandated Reporter training.
