Job Description

Description:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides essential support to Medical Assistants and clinical providers by ensuring charts are properly prepared prior to patient visits, assisting with clinical workflow, and supporting room and equipment turnover. This role helps maintain efficient patient flow and high standards of care.

Chart Preparation & Review

· Pre-visit chart preparation for scheduled patients

· Review charts for completion and accuracy

· Locate and verify mammogram results and ensure documentation is present

· Confirm laboratory results are received, reviewed, and within normal range parameters

· Confirm pap smear results

· Flag missing results for provider or MA review

· Ensure preventive screenings and health maintenance items are up to date

· Track health maintenance items and document appropriately in the EHR

Clinical & Workflow Support

· Assist Medical Assistants with daily patient care workflow

· Support efficient patient room turnover between visits

· Clean, disinfect, stock, and prepare exam rooms according to clinical protocols

· Assist with urostym turnover (supplies preparation, equipment cleaning, and room readiness)

· Maintain adequate stock of supplies in exam rooms and clinical areas

· Rooming staff backup, as needed

· Assist with care teams and call backs

Requirements: Essential Functions and Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, CNA certification preferred

· CPR / BLS certification a plus.

· Medical Terminology

· Punctuality and adherence to the schedule is a must.

· Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

· Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication skills to interact in a professional manner.

· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

· Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems and troubleshoot.

· Work is performed in a medical office setting using standard medical equipment. The risk of exposure to blood and bodily fluids is present.
