Job Description
Financial Management & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators across hotel, golf, spa, and food & beverage operations.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue accounting, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Support external audit and tax compliance processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Resort Operations Support
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor revenues and expenses across hotel, golf, spa, retail, and food & beverage departments.
- Assist department managers with budgeting, financial analysis, and decision-making.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting and finance team.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and high-performance culture.
- Assist with recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
- Promote continuous improvement and process enhancement within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, golf, gaming, or service-based industries is considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic resort environment.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
