Job Description

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to management.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators across hotel, golf, spa, and food & beverage operations.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, revenue accounting, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Support external audit and tax compliance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Resort Operations Support

  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor revenues and expenses across hotel, golf, spa, retail, and food & beverage departments.
  • Assist department managers with budgeting, financial analysis, and decision-making.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting and finance team.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and high-performance culture.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement and process enhancement within the finance department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, golf, gaming, or service-based industries is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic resort environment.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
