Vice President of International Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President of International Sales based in France.

This senior executive role is responsible for leading and scaling international sales strategy across multiple global markets, with a strong focus on high-growth sectors such as defense, government, industrial, and unmanned systems. The position plays a pivotal role in expanding international revenue streams and strengthening global reseller and partner ecosystems. You will define and execute long-term commercial strategies, build strategic relationships with government and military stakeholders, and drive adoption of advanced communication technologies across complex markets. As a key member of the leadership team, you will manage and mentor an international sales organization while shaping market entry strategies worldwide. The role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational execution, and deep experience in technically complex, mission-critical environments. This is a high-impact leadership position with significant global reach and influence.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the global international sales strategy, driving revenue growth across commercial, industrial, government, and defense markets.
  • Build, scale, and manage a global reseller and partner ecosystem, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and performance targets.
  • Identify and capture foreign military sales (FMS) opportunities and develop long-term strategic relationships with international government and defense stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the international sales team, ensuring strong performance, capability building, and succession planning.
  • Oversee reseller pipelines, forecasting, business planning, and performance tracking to ensure consistent execution and delivery.
  • Identify and prioritize key international markets for expansion and assess potential partnership and growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, product, and business development teams to align market feedback with product strategy and innovation.
  • Represent the organization in high-level customer meetings, partner engagements, and international travel for strategic business development activities.
  • Organize and oversee annual reseller meetings, training programs, and partner enablement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical discipline, or equivalent background; Master’s degree (MBA preferred) is a plus.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in international sales, with strong exposure to technical or mission-critical systems.
  • Proven experience in foreign military sales (FMS), government programs, or defense-related international business development.
  • Strong track record of leading global sales organizations and scaling reseller or partner networks.
  • Experience in technical sales involving complex communication, networking, or similar systems is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of project planning, forecasting, cost estimation, risk management, and business analysis.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across multicultural and international environments.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
  • Eligibility to obtain or hold a U.S. security clearance is required.
