Job Description

Senior Marketing Manager II

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager II based in Canada.

This is a high-ownership marketing leadership role focused on shaping consumer growth across the Canadian market.
You’ll develop the country-level marketing strategy and translate business objectives into integrated campaigns and compelling brand experiences.
The role spans brand, growth, partnerships, influencer marketing, media, creative, CRM, and agency collaboration.
You’ll serve as the primary driver for execution, coordinating multiple teams and programs while maintaining a strong focus on measurable outcomes.
A deep understanding of Canadian consumers, regional nuances, and the Quebec market will be essential to building locally relevant work.
You’ll operate in a lean, fast-moving environment where strategic judgment and hands-on execution are equally important.
This role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence both brand development and business growth across a major market.

Accountabilities
  • Develop the Canadian consumer marketing strategy and secure alignment with senior and executive stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary owner for executing the marketing strategy, coordinating cross-functional teams and external agencies to deliver integrated programs.

  • Develop and manage brand partnerships across Canada, supporting existing relationships while identifying and evaluating new opportunities.

  • Use consumer, category, market, and competitive insights to inform marketing strategy and contribute to broader business growth.

  • Own the Canadian influencer program, developing locally relevant content in close partnership with media teams and agency partners.

  • Lead integrated campaigns and content initiatives across paid and owned channels, ensuring work is accurate, culturally relevant, and consistent with brand standards.

  • Apply deep localization expertise to marketing initiatives, including campaigns targeting consumers across different Canadian regions and Quebec.

  • Build strategic and creative briefs, collaborate with channel leads, and oversee campaign execution and measurement.

  • Manage relationships with agencies and internal partners across brand, media, creative, CRM, and other marketing functions.

  • Track and manage the Canadian monthly marketing budget with accuracy and discipline.

  • Balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on execution across multiple concurrent programs.

  • Present recommendations, progress, and strategic decisions to senior leadership and build cross-functional consensus around priorities.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing and integrated campaign marketing, with a strong balance of strategy and execution.

  • Experience preferably gained within a consumer technology company operating across the U.S. and Canada or within a similarly complex multi-market environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies that translate business objectives into compelling brand narratives and impactful campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of integrated brand and campaign marketing, including strategic and creative briefing, channel planning, agency collaboration, execution, and performance measurement.

  • Ability to move comfortably between executive-level strategic thinking and hands-on marketing execution.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting and defending marketing strategies to senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of Canadian culture and consumer behavior, including regional differences and experience developing marketing programs for audiences in Quebec.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus and align diverse teams around shared objectives.

  • Strong judgment, organization, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Familiarity with Québécois culture and bilingual English/French capabilities are preferred.

Benefits
  • Competitive Canadian base salary of $163,000–$172,000 CAD, depending on permanent work location and other relevant factors.

  • Eligibility for a new-hire equity grant and annual equity refresh grants.

  • Remote work within Canada, with current hiring limited to Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

  • Flexible work approach designed to give employees autonomy over where they do their best work.

  • Market-competitive benefits package tailored to the employee’s location.

  • Opportunities to work on high-impact consumer marketing initiatives in a fast-moving technology environment.

  • Opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams across brand, media, creative, CRM, partnerships, and growth marketing.
