This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President of Design based in the United States.

This is a senior design leadership opportunity focused on shaping the end-to-end experience of an AI-native enterprise platform. You will define the product design vision across complex data systems, agentic workflows, and mission-critical operational environments. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership, you will translate sophisticated technology into intuitive, high-impact experiences. The role combines strategic leadership with deep expertise in human-computer interaction, research, and complex workflow design. You will also build and scale a world-class organization spanning UX/UI, research, design systems, and emerging AI design disciplines. This is an influential position within a highly collaborative R&D environment, with the opportunity to shape how AI-native enterprise software is designed and delivered.

• Establish and drive the overall product design vision, UX strategy, and visual standards across a comprehensive enterprise product portfolio, ensuring consistency, usability, and strong alignment with business and user needs.
• Develop new design paradigms for AI-native workflows, complex data visualizations, and decision-support systems designed for high-stakes operational environments.
• Champion user-centered design practices, including rigorous user research and usability testing, to simplify sophisticated enterprise software workflows and improve user outcomes.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership to ensure technical architecture, product roadmaps, and functional priorities remain closely connected to user needs and experience goals.
• Lead the evolution of design practices for AI-native software development and help integrate design more deeply into the broader product development lifecycle.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing design organization across UI/UX, user research, design systems, and AI-focused design capabilities.
• Provide strategic design leadership in environments involving government, defense, industrial operations, complex supply chains, logistics, analytics, and other mission-critical workflows.
• Represent the design function at the executive level, influencing product strategy and organizational priorities while maintaining a strong focus on practical execution and measurable user impact.

• 10–15 years of experience leading design teams in complex software environments, including at least 5 years in an executive design leadership capacity with responsibility for strategy, people, and organizational growth.
• Proven experience leading design for AI-native platforms, complex analytics products, enterprise SaaS applications, or similarly sophisticated technology environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive leaders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and other technical and business functions.
• Deep expertise in human-computer interaction, user research methodologies, usability, and the optimization of complex digital workflows.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience operating successfully within fast-paced, high-growth startup environments, with the ability to balance long-term design strategy with hands-on execution.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
• Current U.S. security clearance is desirable, or the ability to obtain one with sponsorship.
• Experience transitioning design organizations and processes toward an AI-native software development lifecycle is highly desirable.
• Experience designing products or workflows for defense, government, or public-sector organizations is a plus, as is experience with complex supply chain, logistics, or industrial operations platforms.
• Strong executive communication, strategic thinking, collaboration, mentoring, and organizational leadership skills are essential.
• The position may require up to 25% travel.
