Entry Level-CNC Machine Operator- 2nd shift or Weekends in Green Bay, Wisconsin at Griffin Industries LLC

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 4/10

Weekend shift: Friday - Sunday 3/12

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Entry-Level CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. No prior CNC experience is required—we will train motivated candidates who possess a mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and a dedication to quality and safety.

In this role, you will learn to operate Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. You will work alongside experienced machinists and team leaders to build your skill set in machine setup, part inspection, and shop safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Learn to load raw materials, run CNC mills, monitor cycle operations, and unload finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to ensure compliance with blueprint tolerances and specifications.
• Deburring & Finishing: Clean finished parts and remove sharp edges or burrs using belt sanders, rotary tools, and hand deburring instruments.
• Process Monitoring: Observe equipment during operation to detect unusual noises, tool wear, or process deviations, escalating issues to supervisory or technical staff as needed.
• Documentation: Accurate record-keeping of production counts, scrap rates, and inspection results on daily shift logs.
• Workplace Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; perform basic daily machine care and adhere strictly to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and shop safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: No prior CNC experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic math skills, mechanical inclination, and a willingness to learn how to read blueprints and precision measurement tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, good communication skills, and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift operations.
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Manual dexterity and vision required to inspect small parts and handle precision measurement tools.
