ACE / NKAD Team Lead Specialty Care

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ACE / NKAD Team Lead – Specialty Care based in the United States.

This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of national account management, advanced customer engagement, and specialty care strategy.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for complex national and strategic healthcare customers.
The role combines strategic insight, commercial leadership, customer partnership, and organizational development.
You will translate evolving healthcare trends, customer priorities, and market dynamics into actionable business strategies.
Working across a highly matrixed environment, you will align stakeholders from market access, medical, marketing, legal, compliance, and commercial functions.
Your leadership will help strengthen customer relationships, accelerate patient-focused solutions, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
The position offers significant visibility with senior leadership and requires a strategic, collaborative, and results-oriented approach.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of National Key Account Directors and Advanced Customer Engagement Directors, providing clear direction, coaching, prioritization, performance management, and development support.
  • Set the strategic, analytical, and operational direction for assigned Specialty Care national accounts and strategic customer groups.
  • Generate business and market insights that inform priorities, resource allocation, portfolio activities, and broader organizational strategy.
  • Assess evolving healthcare trends, customer drivers, policy developments, payer dynamics, health information technology, and quality measures to identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Lead integrated account planning and execution, aligning customer priorities, enterprise resources, strategic objectives, and measurable outcomes.
  • Guide Advanced Customer Engagement leaders in developing patient-focused solutions and optimizing engagement across key accounts and strategic customer groups.
  • Lead National Key Account Directors in developing strategic partnerships with national health systems, member organizations, and other influential healthcare stakeholders.
  • Oversee business reviews, performance objectives, strategic projects, and cross-functional initiatives involving marketing, sales leadership, access, medical, and commercial effectiveness.
  • Strengthen collaboration across customer-facing, engagement, regional, and enterprise teams while sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Partner with senior leaders and functional stakeholders to remove roadblocks, improve account management effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Governance, Government Affairs, Medical, Market Access, Commercial Effectiveness, and Brand Marketing to ensure compliant and effective execution.
  • Analyze organizational metrics, customer data, and market dynamics to prioritize activities and support business planning.
  • Contribute to organizational culture initiatives, recognition programs, resource planning, training, and other cross-functional operational priorities.
  • Travel extensively, including overnight travel exceeding 30%, to support customer, engagement, and headquarters responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA is preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience in U.S. pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments, particularly across sales, key account management, strategy, commercial effectiveness, marketing, or related headquarters functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse teams across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Extensive experience in health systems, medical groups, integrated delivery networks, national account management, or other strategic customer-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to translate customer and market insights into strategic priorities, tactical plans, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare landscape, including payers, health systems, healthcare reform, quality measures, and healthcare technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate, coach, and retain talent while leading teams through organizational and business change.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project and program management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across a matrix organization.
  • Strong executive communication skills and confidence developing and presenting materials for senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with peers, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • More than five years of experience in operations, analytics, strategy, marketing, or organizational leadership is preferred.
  • Prior marketing experience with a strong record of achievement is preferred.
  • Experience leading teams serving large organized customers such as health and hospital systems or major healthcare member organizations is preferred.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and compliant driving record required; certain impaired-driving violations within the previous seven years may affect eligibility.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight according to business requirements.
Benefits:
  • Annual base salary range of $254,100–$423,500, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
  • Eligibility for a 25% annual performance bonus target.
