Job Summary:

This role leads the analytics organization and is accountable for creating a data driven decision making culture. The mandate is to build a decision-support function that owns trusted metric definitions, brings insight to the operators and clients who need it, enables self-service across the business.
The position requires effective communication with key stakeholders to build a solid understanding of business objectives. The candidate should have depth of experience and knowledge in analytics methodologies.
What you’ll do (Essential Job Functions)
- Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and aligning analytics solutions to address them
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of analysts and developers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and developing their skills to optimize performance
- Communication and Reporting: Prepare data insights into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate project status updates, manage expectations, and address concerns with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Business Acumen: Understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging data analytics trends and technologies to optimize processes and enhance the value of delivered insights
- Delivery discipline: Run predictable, sprint-based delivery with clear commitments, quality gates, and accuracy standards Surface risks early and manage them transparently
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of BI developers and analysts
- Set the team's operating model, intake process, and prioritization; own the backlog
- Build analytical judgment, consultative skill, and technical depth across the team
- Partner with data engineering on shared ownership boundaries and pipeline dependencies
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or business field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in BI & Analytics
- Experience handling health care data
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and experience ensuring quality and accuracy of visualizations using tools like Power BI
- A proven track record of working with business stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver analytical solutions to meet their needs
- You have a solid understanding of data quality and data governance principles, implementing strategies and processes to ensure data integrity and adherence to quality standards and requirements
- You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, capable of identifying and resolving issues
- You have excellent communication and collaboration abilities, able to effectively work in cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to a positive team environment
