OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Manager to join our high-performing team and help grow business at one of Nashville's premier hospitality destinations.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, soliciting, and securing group business opportunities while building lasting relationships with clients and partners. Through a consultative and service-oriented approach, you will maximize revenue opportunities, exceed sales goals, and deliver exceptional experiences from the initial inquiry through event execution.

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a passion for hospitality, strong business acumen, and a commitment to delivering service excellence. As a key member of our Sales team, you will collaborate across departments to ensure seamless communication, successful event execution, and memorable experiences that foster client loyalty and support the continued success of The Westin Nashville.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proactively identify, solicit, and secure group business opportunities to achieve individual and hotel revenue goals.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, industry partners, and community organizations to drive customer loyalty and future business.
  • Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contract execution, including conducting site tours, preparing proposals and agreements, negotiating terms, and closing business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external sales partners, Event Management, and hotel operations teams to ensure seamless communication, successful program execution, and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Deliver service excellence throughout the customer journey by understanding client needs, exceeding expectations, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and business opportunities to develop effective sales strategies and maximize hotel revenue.
  • Utilize sales systems, technology platforms, and reporting tools to manage accounts, track performance, and maintain accurate records and communications.
  • Effectively prioritize responsibilities, analyze business needs, and make informed decisions that support departmental goals and overall hotel success.
  • Represent The Westin Nashville with professionalism and integrity through client meetings, sales calls, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

OTHER:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with policies and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities.
