Job Title: Senior Regional Manager (SrRM)
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Pay Type: Salary
Reports To: Regional Vice President of Operations
Supervises: General Managers at assigned properties, Interim General Managers
Travel Required: Up to 50% (overnight stays as needed)
The Senior Regional Manager (SrRM) is responsible for driving and attaining operational performance expectations across an assigned portfolio of properties. Key responsibilities include:
Driving operational excellence, revenue generation, and cost control across the assigned portfolio.
Managing, mentoring, and leading property General Managers and Interim General Managers.
Managing hotel transitions and property openings both within and outside the assigned portfolio.
Implementing, maintaining, and supporting corporate standards, processes, and procedures.
Conception, execution, and oversight of operational initiatives across properties.
The SrRM utilizes a strategic, outcome-oriented approach to maximize asset performance while executing property transitions with meticulous attention to detail regarding timeline and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS1. Guest Relations & Quality AssuranceContinuously monitor customer feedback platforms to proactively refine service and product models.
Ensure property compliance with brand surveys and online reviews, focusing on both scores and response quality.
Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and brand loyalty through a holistic focus on overall service and guest experience.
Manage P&L statements against established budgets, identifying opportunities to optimize short- and long-term profitability.
Maintain strict cost controls, reduce unnecessary expenses, and optimize labor and operating expenditures.
Collaborate with corporate leadership and property teams to execute revenue management strategies that maximize RevPAR, Average Daily Rate (ADR), occupancy, and market share.
Implement and oversee sales programs, establishing strategies and tactics to drive both base and incremental revenue.
Conduct market analysis to develop, update, and implement effective local marketing plans.
Perform regular property inspections to ensure brand standards, safety regulations, and operational guidelines are strictly maintained.
Review daily property performance reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)—including Occupancy, RevPAR, and Net Operating Income (NOI)—to identify trends and correct variances.
Audit property documentation for completeness, accuracy, and corporate compliance.
Partner with executive leadership to design, launch, and manage new operational initiatives to optimize performance.
Lead the operational onboarding and transition process for new hotel acquisitions.
Lead direct and indirect reports through supportive coaching, clear goal-setting, and performance management.
Manage Interim General Manager resources to ensure effective coverage and property support.
Partner with Human Resources to identify training needs, build employee development plans, and implement associate recognition programs.
Model high standards of leadership, professional behavior, and customer service excellence.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of multi-site hotel management experience.
1+ years of experience designing, implementing, and monitoring corporate initiatives.
Demonstrated track record of revenue generation, sales growth, and successful cost control.
Advanced understanding of hotel front office, guest services, and overall property operations.
Solid grasp of business management, financial statements (P&L), and operational budgeting.
Strong analytical ability to evaluate performance data, spot market trends, and solve problems remotely.
Proficiency with standard business software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and web-based reporting tools.
Effective negotiation, sales, and conflict management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% and stay overnight on-location as required by business needs.
