Position Overview:

GPT Renewables is seeking experienced Solar Wire Management Technicians for a utility-scale solar project. This position will focus primarily on DC wire management on a Nextracker tracking system utilizing ZNshine solar modules.

Length: 18 Weeks

Apprentice Worker

• Pay: $24.00/hour
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of solar experience

Journeyworker

• Pay: $29.00/hour
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of solar experience

Per Diem: $115.00 per workday

Start Date: ASAP September 23

Per Diem: $140 per work day

Responsibilities:

• Perform DC wire management throughout Nextracker tracker rows.
• Route, dress, and secure PV module leads and DC wiring according to project specifications.
• Connect and manage wiring associated with ZNshine PV modules.
• Install wire clips, cable ties, clamps, and other approved wire-management components.
• Maintain proper cable routing to prevent sagging, pinching, excessive tension, sharp bends, or contact with the ground.
• Maintain proper clearance from torque tubes, bearings, driveline components, and other moving parts of the Nextracker system.
• Identify damaged cables, connectors, modules, or improperly installed wire-management components.
• Complete wire-management corrections and punch-list items as required.
• Follow project drawings, installation requirements, quality standards, and site-specific procedures.
• Maintain production expectations while ensuring consistent installation quality.
• Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of utility-scale solar experience required for Apprentice Workers.
• 5+ years of utility-scale solar experience required for Journeyworkers.
• Previous Nextracker experience required
• Experience with solar DC wire management, module installation, PV connectors, module leads, wire clips, and cable management.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, kneel, walk long distances, and perform repetitive work throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to meet project production and quality expectations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
