About the Role:
The Pool Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable swimming environment for all guests and residents. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational standards of the pool area, including monitoring water quality and safety equipment. The Pool Attendant actively enforces pool rules and regulations to promote a secure atmosphere and prevent accidents. Additionally, this role involves providing excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. Ultimately, the Pool Attendant contributes to a positive recreational experience by combining vigilance, maintenance, and hospitality skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and water chemistry.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a pool attendant or lifeguard.
- Certification in Pool Operator Training or equivalent.
- Strong customer service background.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations related to aquatic facilities.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool area to ensure safety and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool, deck, and surrounding areas by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Test and balance pool water chemistry regularly to ensure proper sanitation and water quality.
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment, reporting any malfunctions or hazards to management promptly.
- Provide courteous and helpful assistance to guests, including answering questions and enforcing pool rules consistently.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies or incidents, following established safety protocols.
- Assist with setting up and taking down pool furniture and equipment as needed.

The Pool Attendant uses their knowledge of water chemistry and pool maintenance daily to ensure a safe and hygienic swimming environment.
