Description:

Lucy Corr is seeking a dependable, hands-on part-time Maintenance Repair Technician to help keep our facilities and equipment operating safely and efficiently. If you enjoy troubleshooting, fixing problems, and learning new skills, we would love to hear from you!

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs preventive maintenance and repairs that support a safe, comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
  • Assist with installing and maintaining facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret work orders to complete maintenance and service tasks.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Follow safe work practices and complete assignments within established time frames.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics and a willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of hand tools and power equipment.
  • Ability to take initiative, follow through, and complete work within established time constraints.
  • Willingness to attend training provided at Lucy Corr’s expense.
Requirements:

This is an active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. The role requires frequently lifting or moving objects weighing more than 75 pounds.

Work is primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather. Employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, mechanical equipment, hot and cold conditions, and moderate to loud noise. Essential job functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Scheduling Requirements

Lucy Corr serves residents 24 hours a day. On-call coverage, holiday work, work during inclement weather, or alternate schedules with coworkers may be required.
