Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The requirements below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, but may not be all-inclusive. Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
- Assist in the coordination of daily scheduling of lunch and break times for branch staff
- Analyze, research, and resolve problems and members’ issues with limited assistance
- Deliver an outstanding member experience by adhering to the sales and service standards of the credit union
- Process deposits and withdrawals for Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
- Receive and disburse funds, and accurately process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, and updates to account signers
- Process loan advances from credit card or line of credit accounts
- Issue cashier's checks according to credit union policies and procedures
- Maintain an accurate and balanced cash drawer on a daily basis
- Assist members with opening new accounts, including checking, savings, IRAs, certificates, trust, custodial, fiduciary, and organizational accounts
- Complete all necessary documentation for new accounts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies
- Identify and promote products and services aligned with member needs to meet or exceed cross-selling goals
- Serve as a leader in cross-selling efforts, consistently driving team success in product and service adoption
- Support team members by providing assistance during out-of-balance situations and resolving complex member issues
- Maintain daily vault cash balance and place currency orders to ensure adequate branch cash levels
- Efficiently scan checks to support daily balancing and branch reconciliation
- Assist at different branches as needed
- Assist with transaction overrides in accordance with authority limits and internal policies
- Effectively resolve complex or sensitive member concerns through sound judgment and problem-solving
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus three (3) years of credit union/banking experience.
- At least three (3) years of cash handling experience and understanding of the check processing payment process
- Must have a complete understanding of credit union and banking regulations and statutes
