Donlin Gold is advancing one of the world's largest undeveloped gold deposits located in Southwest Alaska. We are seeking an experienced Project Services Manager to lead and integrate project controls, procurement, contracting, commercial management, and document control functions supporting major capital project development activities. This is a key leadership role within the Project Director Team and offers the opportunity to influence project execution, governance, financial performance, and strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Position Summary
The Project Services Manager serves as the Owner's lead for project business execution, governance, and performance management. Reporting to the Project Director, this position is responsible for overseeing project controls, commercial functions, procurement, contracts, cost management, scheduling, reporting, and document control activities.
This role provides leadership to a multidisciplinary Project Services team and works closely with project leadership, EPCm contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in alignment with established governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Governance
- Lead and develop an integrated Project Services team supporting project controls, procurement, contracts, and document control.
- Establish project services standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Provide strategic guidance to project leadership regarding project performance, risks, opportunities, and business decisions.
- Support stage-gate reviews, investment decisions, executive briefings, and project governance activities.
Project Controls & Performance Management
- Oversee project cost management, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and change management processes.
- Establish and maintain project performance metrics, controls, and reporting systems.
- Analyze project trends, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to leadership and joint venture partners.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Provide oversight of project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
- Support contingency management, capital efficiency initiatives, and financial impact assessments.
- Ensure alignment between project commitments, forecasts, budgets, and change management processes.
- Lead commercial reviews and provide recommendations on project financial performance.
Contracts & Procurement
- Direct procurement and contracting strategies that support project objectives and schedules.
- Oversee contract administration, commercial change management, and claims avoidance activities.
- Ensure procurement activities align with approved budgets and project execution plans.
- Support contractor performance management and commercial negotiations.
EPCm & Stakeholder Management
- Provide oversight and direction to EPCm contractors and third-party service providers.
- Review and challenge project controls, cost, schedule, and reporting deliverables.
- Collaborate with project leadership, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.
- Represent the project services function during audits, assurance reviews, and external engagements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience supporting large capital projects, preferably exceeding $500 million in value.
- Demonstrated experience working on an Owner's project team with responsibility for integrated project services functions.
- Extensive experience in project controls, cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and change management.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing contracts, procurement, and commercial functions.
- Experience managing EPCm contractors and owner-side governance processes.
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience supporting mining, mineral development, energy, infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP, PSP, CMAA, or similar credentials.
- Experience working in joint venture environments.
- Experience supporting projects through feasibility, development, construction, and operational transition phases.

Working Conditions
This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska, with periodic travel to project, construction, operational, and field locations. The role requires frequent interaction with contractors, consultants, project personnel, and executive leadership. Occasional extended hours may be required to support project milestones and business objectives.
