This role is an outstanding opportunity for a highly experienced SAP integration expert to lead enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives within complex hybrid IT environments. You will play a strategic role in designing and governing modern integration architectures across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems, leveraging cloud-native technologies and API-led connectivity approaches. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will drive middleware modernization, integration optimization, and secure enterprise connectivity across mission-critical platforms. The position combines deep technical leadership with hands-on architecture responsibilities, offering exposure to cutting-edge SAP BTP and cloud integration technologies. - Design, implement, and govern scalable enterprise integration architectures using SAP CPI, SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, API Management, Event Mesh, and related SAP integration technologies.
- Architect and manage hybrid integration landscapes connecting SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, SuccessFactors, IBP, MDG, BTP, and multiple third-party enterprise applications.
- Lead enterprise API strategy initiatives by designing secure and reusable REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, JDBC, SFTP, AS2, and proxy-based integrations.
- Develop and optimize SAP CPI iFlows, Groovy scripts, XSLT mappings, message transformations, routing patterns, exception handling processes, and adapter configurations.
- Support, optimize, and modernize existing SAP PI/PO environments, including migration initiatives from PI/PO to SAP CPI and cloud-native integration models.
- Define integration governance standards, security frameworks, encryption mechanisms, certificate management processes, and role-based access controls to ensure compliance and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with BASIS, infrastructure, functional, and business teams to troubleshoot interface issues, optimize performance, and resolve complex integration challenges.
- Drive cloud and hybrid integration initiatives involving platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft technologies, ServiceNow, Workday, and other enterprise systems.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, and mentoring initiatives while supporting best practices and knowledge sharing across integration teams.
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in SAP integration architecture, middleware technologies, and enterprise application integration.
- Deep expertise in SAP CPI, SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, SAP API Management, and enterprise API-led integration strategies.
- Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, OData, IDocs, RFC/BAPI integrations, XML/JSON transformations, and asynchronous/synchronous communication models.
- Advanced technical skills in Groovy scripting, XSLT mappings, Java mappings, and integration security frameworks.
- Proven experience integrating SAP platforms with third-party cloud and enterprise systems across hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP integration capabilities, cloud-native integration patterns, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration projects and large-scale digital transformation programs.
- Exposure to pharmaceutical or life sciences environments, including GxP-compliant systems, is considered highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices for integration environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior team members.
- SAP Integration Suite certifications or related SAP technical certifications are preferred.
