Sterilization Tech in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina at Lane & Associates Family Dentistry

Overall Responsibility:

Responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties within the dental office. The Sterilization Technician’s primary duty will be working with clinical staff to ensure instruments used for procedures are sterilized.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Daily/Weekly/Monthly Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Cleans & sterilizes instruments
• Follows Company Sterilization Protocol along with other rules & regulations
• Keeps track of inventory in the sterilization area
• Keep all counters clean, neat & organized.
• Perform weekly spore testing and maintain a log of the results
• Perform weekly and monthly maintenance of Autoclave(s)
• Maintain proper pre-set trays and ensure they are ready for anticipated procedures.
• Assists with laundry duties
• End of day duties designated by Head Dental Assistant
• Help stock rooms
• Other Duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• DAI Certification
• Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
