Senior Director Analyst - AI Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director Analyst - AI Services based in Netherlands.

In this senior thought leadership role, you will shape global perspectives on the rapidly evolving AI services market, producing high-impact research, forecasts, and strategic insights that influence C-level decision-making worldwide. You will analyze how artificial intelligence is transforming service delivery models, competitive dynamics, and enterprise buying behaviors across industries. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will engage directly with senior executives through presentations, briefings, and advisory interactions, translating complex market trends into clear, actionable guidance. This role requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and storytelling ability to produce “must-have” insights for global technology leaders. You will collaborate with a global team of analysts, contributing to a shared research agenda while also driving your own area of expertise. Accountabilities:
  • Lead research and analysis on the global AI services market, including market sizing, forecasting models, and competitive landscape evaluation.
  • Produce high-impact insights, reports, and thought leadership content that inform enterprise strategy and decision-making.
  • Engage directly with C-level executives, product leaders, and industry stakeholders through briefings, presentations, and advisory sessions.
  • Develop predictive models and frameworks to assess market dynamics, demand shifts, and emerging opportunities in AI services.
  • Translate complex market data into clear, actionable recommendations for technology providers and enterprise clients.
  • Contribute to Gartner’s research agenda by identifying new trends, refining methodologies, and shaping analytical frameworks.
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, client events, and industry forums as a recognized subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with global analyst teams to ensure consistency, quality, and impact of published research.
  • Support internal teams, including sales and research, by providing market insights and thought leadership input.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of research practices and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Technology, or similar).
  • 12+ years of experience in market analysis, consulting, research, or technology advisory roles.
  • Strong expertise in AI services, enterprise technology markets, or related digital transformation domains.
  • Proven experience in market sizing, forecasting, and advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong executive presence with proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders (C-level and VP-level).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing high-quality research or thought leadership content.
  • Demonstrated ability to present at industry conferences or client-facing executive forums.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with an understanding of global technology market dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently in a global, matrixed environment while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
