As a Radiologic Technologist, you are responsible for performing a variety of xray and clinical tasks to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires a combination of medical knowledge, technical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. We are looking for someone who thrives on 5 star patient care and compassion as you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients and for providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practitioners, front office and clinical staff colleagues. Orthopedic or Pain Medicine experience preferred!

- Explain x-ray procedures and interventional procedures to patients and ensure they understand and are comfortable with the process, as well as addressing any concerns.
- Position patients correctly on the X-ray table to obtain the required images.
- Shield sensitive areas of the body that are not being imaged to minimize radiation exposure.
- Assist in positioning patients on the examination table for optimal imaging during procedures.
Procedure Preparation:
- Set up and prepare radiology equipment for procedure and sterile field for procedures.
- Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are available and in working order.
Operational Excellence:
- Operate C-Arm equipment and other specialized imaging devices to capture real-time images during procedures.
- Adjust equipment settings to achieve optimal imaging quality and assist physicians as needed
Equipment Operation:
- Operate X-ray machines and other imaging equipment to capture images of the specified body parts.
- Adjust equipment settings, such as exposure time and radiation intensity, to achieve optimal image quality.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure for both patients and themselves.
- Use lead aprons, gloves, and other protective equipment to shield against radiation during procedures.
- Monitor radiation levels and adhere to safety regulations to protect patients and staff.
Image Processing:
- Develop X-ray films or use digital technology to create clear and accurate diagnostic images.
- Review images to ensure they meet quality standards and may need to retake images if necessary.
- Acquire and process high-quality interventional images in real-time.
- Monitor and adjust imaging parameters to ensure accurate visualization of the targeted area.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless workflow during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition during and after interventional procedures.
- Respond promptly to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including the type and number of X-rays taken.
- Record any relevant patient information and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
- Stay current with advancements in imaging technology and participate in continuing education to maintain certification and enhance skills.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic images.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report any malfunctions for prompt repair.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines governing the use of radiation in medical procedures.
- Effectively communicate with patients, explaining the imaging process and addressing any concerns they may have
- Maintain accurate and detailed procedural records, including patient history, imaging parameters, and any complications encountered.
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control:
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of stock levels.
- Regularly conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile variances with system records.
- Stock Replenishment:
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of inventory.
- Data Management:
- Input, update, and maintain accurate inventory data in the organization's inventory management system.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, trends, and potential issues.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with various departments, including purchasing, logistics, and sales, to understand their inventory needs and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Conduct periodic inspections to identify and address any issues related to product quality or expiration.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- State licensure as a radiologic technologist.
- Experience in fluoroscopy (Recommended)
- Strong knowledge of C-Arm equipment and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- BLS and ACLS certification
