Caregiver (In-Home Care) – Rexburg, ID

About the Role

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to join our caregiving team serving clients throughout Rexburg and surrounding communities. As a caregiver, you will play an important and meaningful role in helping seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and supported in their own homes.

You'll provide essential non-medical support that helps clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in the place they know best: home.

This is hands-on, relationship-driven work for someone who wants to show up consistently, build meaningful connections with clients and families, and make a positive impact every day. Our caregivers are trusted members of the care team who bring compassion, professionalism, patience, and respect to every shift.

What You'll Do

Depending on the client's needs and individualized care plan, your daily duties may include:

  • Providing companionship and meaningful engagement through conversation, activities, and emotional support
  • Assisting with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences, dietary needs, or care plan instructions, and providing feeding support if needed
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, tidying common areas, taking out trash, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Providing medication reminders in accordance with the care plan (no handling or administering medications)
  • Assisting with mobility, repositioning, and safe transfers, including the use of walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids
  • Providing transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and approved outings
  • Providing respite care support for family caregivers
  • Following all care instructions, documenting shift activity appropriately, and communicating any changes in the client's condition or needs to the office promptly
  • Supporting each client's independence, personal preferences, daily routines, and overall well-being with professionalism and respect

You will help create a safe, respectful, and positive experience for every client by showing up on time, following care plan instructions, maintaining professional boundaries, and treating every home you enter with care and respect.

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, professional, and genuinely committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor
  • Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred:

  • Prior caregiving, CNA, healthcare, home care, or customer service experience

No prior caregiving experience is required. We value character, dependability, and a willingness to learn.

  • Schedule: Flexible shifts available — full-time, part-time, evenings, and weekends
